Free September Pattern: Tī Kōuka Scarf

September is here! Please enjoy our Tī Kōuka Scarf, wonderfully crafted in Zealana Kauri Worsted.

Tī Kōuka, more commonly known as the Cabbage Tree, is one of the most distinct trees seen across New Zealand standing up to 12 to 20 metres high. These beautiful trees sprout scented flowers in early summer and bluish-white berries that are much loved by birds.

Among the many benefits the Tī Kōuka tree provides, such as food, fibre and medicine, the leaves can also be woven into baskets, sandals, rope and other items. This weaving has inspired the design of our Tī Kōuka tree with the handy back loop allowing the scarf to hold its crossed shape, keeping your neck warm without the hassle of needing to adjust it.

This beautiful wrap scarf is the perfect accessory for the changing seasons. Head to the link below to download your free pattern.
